Love Island 2022 is about to launch and fans of the show have been given a sneak peek at who they'll be spending their summer watching with a new trailer introducing the contestants.

The ITV2 dating show is set to return on Monday with the show's starting line-up of singles entering the villa and viewers have been offered a taste of what's to come in the promo.

It shows the contestants leaving their day jobs and being given a glam poolside-ready makeover as they prepare to move into the villa looking for love.

Kicking off the trailer is paramedic Paige, who's shown stepping out of the back of her ambulance in a bikini after hearing another weather report for a dull, overcast day.

She's swiftly followed by Luca, working on a supermarket fish counter and casting aside his hairnet in favour of jetting off to Mallorca.

The trailer also features this year's star signing, footballer Michael Owen's daughter Gemma who appears with her horse as she competes in international dressage competitions.

Ikenna shows off his boxing skills in the ring, while we also get a first look at Liam and Andrew before they head off to the sun.

Amber and Indiyah are shown walking away from their day jobs and Davide flexes his muscles in the gym.

The trailer introduces microbiologist Dami as he peers down a microscope in his lab, while dancer Tasha, the show's first ever deaf contestant, shows off her moves on a rooftop.

Of course, while viewers are anticipating seeing who couples up with who in the launch episode, they won't be the only villa residents this summer.

As the series progresses, "bombshell" singles join the cast who contestants can choose to leave their original partners for, or who might choose to partner up with other new additions.

The winning couple can bag a cash prize if they are the viewer favourites by the end of the series.

Love Island returns on Monday at 9pm on ITV2.
