IT’S ONE last ‘cripes’: a removals van taking Boris and Carrie Johnson’s belongings out of Downing Street this week damaged a gate in the street outside.

The van was backing towards Number 10 on Monday to take out the Prime Minister’s things when it hit and buckled the security gate on Whitehall, as our picture shows. An eyewitness told us the driver was “red-faced” while officers on duty were alarmed by the noise of the crash. It’s thought likely that it will cost public money to fix.

Johnson is said to be spending his final two and a half weeks in office at Chequers, the PM’s country house. Downing Street and the moving firm declined to comment.

BBC chair’s son at OnlyFans

BBC chairman Richard Sharp’s passion for broadcasting seems to run in the family. His son Jamie was recently appointed vice-president of OnlyFans, the X-rated video-sharing platform. Old Etonian Jamie is in charge of “business development” at the US subscription-based service, which has more than a million content creators. While the licence fee is under threat, the OnlyFans model is very profitable. It’s a different kind of public service broadcasting.

New play The Trials had its press night at the Donmar Warehouse last night. It imagines a future where a group are on trial for their role in the climate crisis, asking how many flights they took, and if they eat meat. Heartstopper’s Joe Locke and William Gao star. Writer Dawn King told us the project had “changed her life forever” as she now takes the topic seriously. She said she hopes viewers will help avert any “terrible dystopian future”. No pressure.

Singer Robbie Williams, who describes his marriage as “a laugh-a-minute”, grinned with wife Ayda Field at an art gala in Ibiza last night. But it was host Darren Strowger who took the mic as Rock DJ at his event, held in aid of Teen Cancer America and Ibiza and Formentera Against Cancer.

The evening saw actor Jaime Winstone and DJ Mary Charteris embrace over cocktails, joined by actors Joséphine de la Baume and Jazzy De Lisser. Model Poppy Delevingne wore a pink gown.
