London travel updates LIVE: Ten mile tailbacks at Dartford Crossing after vehicle fire on M25
Motorists are facing around 10 miles of tailbacks around the Dartford Crossing on the M25 clockwise after a vehicle fire.
All lanes were stopped at 10.25am on the M25 clockwise from junction 1a (Swanscombe) to junction 1b (A296 Princes Road, Dartford).
By 12.35pm all four lanes had reopened.
Queues built around the Essex - Kent border after authorities closed the road at around 10.25am.
Elsewhere, traffic was queuing for around four miles on the M25 anticlockwise near Waltham Cross, north London, on Friday due to road works.
The slow moving congestion stretched from junction 26 (Waltham Abbey) to junction 25 (A10 Enfield) around a construction area, according to live data presented by Inrix.
On the Tube, the Northern line has had severe delays after a fire alert at Colindale.
There is no Overground service between West Croydon and Sydenham due to signal failure. The disruption is expected to last until 3pm.
All other lines are operating a good service.
Two lanes now closed on M25 at Dartford - two back open

There is queueing traffic and two lanes closed due to vehicle fire on the M25 clockwise from J1a A206 (QE2 Bridge) to J1b A296 (Dartford).
Congestion is back to to J30 (A13 Lakeside)over the bridge.
Lanes one and two (of four) remain closed, after a 25 minute hold until 10.45am.
There is also queueing anticlockwise due to a separate breakdown.
London Overground part suspended

There is currently no service between West Croydon and Sydenham due to signal failure at West Croydon.
Transport for London has said that tickets are being accepted on London Underground via any reasonable route.
Severe delays on Northern Tube line after fire alert

The Northern Tube line is no longer part suspended but there are still delays after a fire alert at Colindale.
The whole line is shown to be facing the delays after the incident on Friday morning.
Traffic now up to 10 miles around Dartford

The tailbacks around the Dartford Crossing have now stretched back to around 10 miles, live data shows.
Two lanes are now back in operation after the fire earlier this morning but it is taking traffic a while to adjust.
National Highways tweeted: “Delays on approach, please allow extra time for your journey.”

Now only minor delays on three Tube lines

Earlier problems that saw the Northern line part suspended have now cleared, according to Transport for London data.
That line, plus the Piccadilly and Central are now shown to have minor delays.
This could see Tube trains delayed by only a few minutes - if at all.
The Overground is still part suspended.
Now one lane closed after vehicle fire

There are still long delays and a lane closed on the M25 after a vehicle fire on the M25.
There had earlier been four lanes closed.
The delays are from the junction 1a (A206 / QE2 Bridge) to junction 1b (A296 / Dartford).
There is now congestion to halfway back to J29 A127 Romford, back over the QE2 Bridge.
Disruption between Peterborough and London Kings Cross

Disruption on the LNER line is expected between Peterborough and London Kings Cross until 2pm.
An incident at Huntington has caused the delays, National Rail has tweeted.

National Highways making progress at Dartford

Lane 1 (of 4) is closed on the M25 clockwise between J1A Dartford and J1B at Stone due to a vehicle fire.
It had previously been all four lanes.
Service Contractors and National Highways Traffic Officers are on scene.

Long delays on M25 between Enfield and Waltham Abbey

There are now long delays on M25 anticlockwise from J27 (M11) to J25 A10 (Enfield).
The delays are said to be due to a construction project
Tailbacks are now for two miles before J27, to a mile after J25.

Passengers going to London Stansted Airport are seeing services delayed after a tree fell on the line out of Liverpool Street.
Lines have reopened following a tree blocking the railway at Sawbridgeworth in Hertfordshire.
Trains running between Broxbourne and Bishops Stortford may still be cancelled or delayed by up to 50 minutes whilst service recovers, Greater Anglia has warned.
The line continues beyond Stortford to Cambridge or Stansted Airport.
Line reopens after tree falls on tracks

Disruption between Broxbourne and Bishops Stortford is expected until 4pm after a tree fell on the line near Sawbridgeworth.
The line from London Liverpool Street to Cambridge and Stansted Airport had experienced delays after the incident in Hertfordshire.
Travel time over Dartford Crossing now 25 minutes

There is still a 10 mile stretch of slow moving traffic over the Dartford Crossing - but it now takes around 25 minutes to complete the passage.
The delay is due to an earlier van fire on the M25 just after junction 1.
There is now congestion to J29 A127 Romford, back over the QE2 Bridge.

Transport for London has said there are severe delays on the Overground between Stratford and Richmond / Clapham Junction.
A faulty train is in the process of being fixed.
There is still no service between West Croydon and Sydenham due to signal failure at West Croydon.

Network Rail said “multiple incidents” between Stratford, Richmond and Clapham Junction are causing delays.
Trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 30 minutes or cancelled.
“Disruption is expected until 6pm,” it added.
Signal fault causing chaos on London Overground between Highbury & Islington and West Croydon

A fault with the signalling system at West Croydon means fewer trains are able to run on some lines, Network Rail said.
Services may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until 8pm.
Trains may terminate at New Cross Gate or be diverted to Crystal Palace.
None will call Sydenham and West Croydon.
Customers may use tickets on local buses via any reasonable route.
Thameslink and Great Northern trains axed due to a lack of crew

A shortage of train crew means Great Northern and Thameslink are unable to run some services on Friday evening.
Network Rail said as a result, services may be cancelled or revised until the end of the day.
Lines hit in both direction are Brighton / Three Bridges to Bedford; Peterborough to London Kings Cross and Horsham; and Moorgate to Hertford North and Stevenage.
Broken down freight train delays hit Peterborough to London King’s Cross route

Lines have reopened following a broken down freight train between Peterborough and Huntingdon.
But trains to London King’s Cross may still be cancelled or delayed by up to 45 minutes whilst service recovers, Network Rail said.
In further bad news for passengers, disruption is expected until the end of Friday.
Points failure at Stratford affecting Elizabeth line trains

A points failure at Stratford is affecting Elizabeth line and Greater Anglia services.
Network Rail said trains may be cancelled or revised between Shenfield, London Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 5 on the Elizabeth line, and Greater Anglia services to and from Bishops Stortford and Stratford.
