Nobody wants to be the first person to be evicted from I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here and Jane Moore didn't hide her disappointment in being the first out.

Immediately after Ant and Dec announced the news, she told her fellow campmates: "Hard work doesn't get rewarded."

Shortly after she is reunited with the Geordie presenters outside of the main jungle camp where she addressed her cryptic comment. The journalist lifted the lid on what she meant by "hard work doesn't get rewarded".

"People don't notice hard work!" She said. "I think it's really important. Eventually as more people get voted off it will become more apparent who isn't doing as much."

In conversation with the presenters, Moore also stuck by her guns after she accused Barry McGuigan and Danny Jones of sexism and ageism when they gave her the washing up job in camp. One positive about leaving the jungle though meant she wouldn't be doing the washing up for a long time.

She celebrated: "No more washing up! I can't wait to get rid of washing up. I'm never washing up again."

It came after Oti Mabuse and Melvin Odoom had won 12 stars for their last meal as a camp of 12, although some of the stars were unimpressed with the octopus.

The bookmakers BetMGM were right as Loose Women host Moore was the favourite to be eliminated from the jungle first. Dean McCullough and Melvin Odoom just behind in the odds.

Radio presenter McCullough has found himself in the firing line after being consistently voted to take part in the dreaded Bushtucker trials, while fellow broadcaster Odoom fails to have stood out among his campmates in the jungle.

Moore has also failed to endear herself to audiences, with other campmates shining brighter in the jungle, pushing her down in the popularity stakes.

The stars who went into camp will all be hoping to stick around until next weekend's finale.

Thanks for following the I'm A Celebrity live blog.

  • OPINION: 'I'm a Celebrity's first eviction is a close call between three stars'

I'm a Celebrity's first eviction is looming and I think there is going to be fierce competition between three celebrity campmates.

The evictions always begin mid-way through the ITV series, just when you're getting to know the real people behind the celebrity facade.

While there's always a lot of talk over the first eviction and who it might be, it doesn't take super sleuth Wagatha Christie to work it out.

This year, my money is on: Dean McCullough, Jane Moore or Melvin Odoom. I could see all three of them walking over the rope bridge first.
