'Live' Fans Are Calling Out Kelly Ripa After Spotting a Shocking Detail on Her IG
As a longtime cohost of Live With Kelly and Ryan, Kelly Ripa has experience with being a mom in the spotlight. While her kids Michael, Lola and Joaquin (whom she shares with husband Mark Consuelos) are rarely seen on the Generation Gap host's Instagram, one of them made a recent appearance for a very special occasion. As it turns out though, it wasn't exactly what it seemed.
It all began on June 16 when the former All My Children actress posted a heartfelt photo of her middle child to mark a major life milestone: Lola's 21st birthday. In the pic, she smiles right at the camera while sitting next to a colorful cake featuring flowers and candles.
"She’s 21!!!," Kelly captioned the snap. "Happy birthday @theyoungestyung we love you so much! You are our heart and soul ♥️♥️♥️⭐️⭐️⭐️."
Given how she's not a fan of sharing the limelight with the rest of her family, it's always a sweet moment when we get a glimpse at how she's up to. Couple that with the fact the last time Kelly posted a photo with Lola on social media was a throwback moment in April and it's a special moment all around.
Kelly wasn't the only one to post a never-before-seen photo of Lola. Mark took the time to commemorate the occasion as well, sharing his own intimate Instagram photos with his baby girl. "Happy 21st bday @theyoungestyung," he affectionately wrote. "We are so proud of you!! Love you so much lolly!!!"
But Kelly and Mark weren't the only ones who wanted to celebrate the exciting milestone. Friends quickly sent over loving messages to celebrate the birthday girl on both of her parents' accounts soon after they shared the childhood pics.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOLZZZZZZZZZ," family friend and host Andy Cohen wrote on Kelly's post. "How do they grow so fast! Happy 21 bday @theyoungestyung ❤️," Riverdale actress (and Mark's onscreen wife) Marisol Nichols commented. "Wow !!! Your mini me!!! Happy birthday!!!!! 💃🏽💯," Younger star Debi Mazar reacted to Kelly's picture as well. "Happiest birthday Lola!! Wow mom and dad 😍. Amazing," actress Lucy Liu added.
Aside from the heartwarming messages, some folks noticed an interesting detail about Lola's dessert. "How come the cake ribbon says 20th 🤔," one person wrote to which Kelly replied, "It’s a picture from last year."
