Want to live at one of Australia’s best beaches? Well, your dream might not be as unattainable as you think.

Tourism Australia released its top 10 Best Australian Beaches list, with Stokes Bay on the north coast of Kangaroo Island taking out the top spot.

House prices at the South Australian beach have an average price tag of $1.6 million, according to Domain. But there are other beaches on the top 10 list with houses starting from less than $300,000.

The cheapest was British Admiralty Beach on Tasmania’s King Island, which had a median house price of just $297,500.

Next was Apollo Bay on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, which had a median house price of just $505,000.

Meanwhile, Rainbow Beach on the Cooloola Coast in Queensland, had an average price tag of $570,000.

Domain noted that these prices were still millions of dollars below popular destinations like Bondi, Byron Bay and Burleigh Heads.

In North Bondi, for example, the median house price is nearly $4.39 million, while Byron Bay has an average price tag of more than $2 million. For Burleigh Heads on Queensland’s Gold Coast, you are looking at around $1.4 million for a house.
