Little piggies found miles from home

Four women are facing a legal roasting after allegedly abducting newborn piglets from a Queensland breeding facility.

Police allege the baby pigs were swiped from a farm on the outskirts of Toowoomba earlier this month, shortly after they were born and before they could take their first drink of milk.

The women were arrested in a series of raids across southeast Queensland on Wednesday and have been charged with stealing stock.

It's not known exactly how many piglets were taken but two have been recovered from a property at Maryborough.
