Listen live: White House briefs press en route to APEC summit in Peru

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre will brief reporters Thursday afternoon en route to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Peru.

The gaggle comes as President Biden is set to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping later this week on the sidelines of the summit. The event in Lima will mark the third, and final, time the two meet as the Biden administration has made strides to steady the relationship between the U.S. and China and ease tensions over economic competition.

The briefing is scheduled to begin aboard Air Force One at 2:30 p.m. EST.
