Two men found after plane went missing in outback South Australia
A light plane with two men was reported missing in outback South Australia late last night and has been located this morning.
The two men were spotted before 9.30am this morning about 30km north-northwest of Marree and rescued by helicopter.
They are currently being taken to Marree where they will be assessed, however it is believed they only suffered minor injuries.
At about 11pm Tuesday police received reports of a single engine aircraft being overdue after failing to land at Marree.
The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) co-ordinated the search with one plane currently combing an area of about 5000sqkm.
Maree is 685 kilometres north of Adelaide.
