‘Legendary’: The Wiggles’ cheeky tribute
An iconic Australian automobile made famous by its iconic “big red” exterior has gone toe-to-toe with luxury car brand Bentley in a tongue-in-check homage online.
Generations of children have come to know The Wiggles’ famed Big Red Car, but in a new video posted to the band’s TikTok, they got the chance to see it in a new light.
The video parodies another clip highlighting the sounds of the luxury vehicle, including the ding of the iconic “Icarus” bonnet mascot sculpture known as the Flying B.
In their playful spin, red Wiggle Simon Pryce shows off the distinctively plastic-sounding clang of the Big Red Car’s wheels and grill – two iconic parts of luxury car brands.
Pryce goes on to poke fun during the 40-second video at the children's sedan’s plastic doors, non-functioning steering wheel and cup holders in the ASMR-style video.
The video, which generated more than half a million likes in just two days, came as a reminder to many users online of the iconic car and the celebrated children’s band.

“Out of all the remakes of this video, I have to say this one is my favourite,” Selena said, with others labelling the video and the Big Red Car as “legendary” and “iconic”.
Others pointed out the relative “worth” of the one-of-a-kind Big Red Car, with one user stating: “There‘s at least 4 Bentleys getting around the regional city where I live. There must be thousands in Australia. There is only one Big Red Car.”
Another user added the Big Red Car “generates money, Bentleys just depreciates in value. I know what I’m buying.”
While The Wiggles have gone through different iterations since they first shot to fame as children’s entertainers, the band has stayed relevant with recent takes on TikTok trends.
In another recent video garnering more than 64,000 likes, the popular children’s band parodied the popular TikTok audio trend “more passion, more energy, more footwork”.
