Learner drink driving with child in Tas

A learner driver in Tasmania has been caught drink driving with a young child in the car and without a qualified supervisor.

The 21-year-old man is facing criminal charges after being pulled over at Campbell Town by police on Thursday afternoon.

He had P plates displayed but was in fact a learner driver and recorded a blood-alcohol level of 0.04 after being breathalysed.

There were four other passengers in the car, none of them holding a full adult licence.
