Leaked McDonald's menu additions send Aussies wild: 'The rumours are true'
A food blogger has discovered that Aussies are about to get a taste of a brand new McDonald's dessert along with a returning fan-favourite menu item.
Food reviewer and cook Nick Vavitis revealed on TikTok that Macca's is introducing a Caramilk Hokey Pokey McFlurry on November 30. The fast food giant has once again teamed up with Cadbury for the ice cream treat, which will reportedly be available until at least early January next year.
"I freakin' loved the Caramilk McFlurry so I am excited for Hokey Pokey," Mr Vavitis said in his video, which has been viewed over 80,000 times.
"I've never been more excited," one TikTok user commented. "Omg I'm excitedddd," another wrote.
Mr Vavitis also flagged in the video that the popular Mexican-themed El Maco burger would be returning for the first time post-Covid. Made with either chicken or beef, the El Maco is topped with cheese, tomato and lettuce, and served with sour cream and El Maco sauce.

McDonald's confirms news
Despite many people doubting the McFlurry and El Maco news, McDonald's has now confirmed the menu additions.
"The early rumours are true. We're bringing back the fan favourite, the El Maco and a deliciously exciting new Cadbury Caramilk Hokey Pokey McFlurry," McDonald’s marketing director Tim Kenward confirmed to news.com.au. "At Macca's, we believe great combinations make summer special and we have a few more surprises in store, so stay tuned. We can't wait to come together for another Aussie summer."
