* Australia has now administered more than 3.5 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

* NSW has rolled out a record number of vaccinations, with 12,485 jabs in the 24 hours to 8pm on Friday.

* That includes more than 5000 jabs alone at the Olympic Park mass vaccination site.

* Victoria's health department admits its contact tracers have muddled up recent exposure sites.

* Health Minister Martin Foley has blamed the mix-up on supermarket receipts listing the wrong location.

* The health department said a fortnight ago Victoria's most recent case had shopped at Woolworths in Epping, when he had actually been at a nearby supermarket in Epping North.

* Seven Victorian businesses have been slapped with thousands of dollars in fines for slack or non-compliance.

* Authorities have checked more than 2200 businesses this month and found about a third not up to scratch.

* In South Australia, the police association says relentless COVID compliance duties have overwhelmed front line officers and left the state vulnerable to serious crime.

* President Mark Carroll says core police functions are being severely weakened and it is threatening the delivery of frontline policing to the public.

* Of the total, 2,309,152 have been administered by the Commonwealth (an increase of 55,467 in the previous 24 hours).

* 1,983,314 have been issued in primary care (+49,704) and 325,838 in aged and disability facilities (+5763).

* 1,253,343 have been administered by the states and territories, including +34,154 in the previous 24 hours.

* 363,919 have been administered in Victoria (+8977), 339,048 in NSW (+12,485), 186,593 in Queensland (+4708), 145,754 in Western Australia (+3115), 90,995 in South Australia (+1887), 56,309 in Tasmania (+1450), 42,798 in the ACT (+885) and 27,567 in the NT (+647).


* Australia reported no new locally acquired virus cases on Friday. There were at least four new overseas-acquired cases; two in Queensland and one each in NSW and the Northern Territory.

* The national death toll is 910: Victoria 820, NSW 56, Tasmania 13, WA 9, Queensland 7, SA 4, ACT 3 (Two Queensland residents who died in NSW have been included in the official tolls of both states).


* Cases: at least 166,148,856

* Deaths: at least 3,443,197

* Vaccine doses administered: at least 1,599,610,649.
