* The Business Council of Australia has warned the shutdown of the NSW construction industry will have a big impact on Australia's economic recovery.

* Federal Labor has demanded a return of the JobKeeper wage subsidy, arguing Scott Morrison's current support package did not "cut the mustard".

* NSW reported 105 local cases on Sunday and the death of a woman in her 90s, as tougher lockdown restrictions were imposed on greater Sydney.

* The cargo ship BBC California, which is carrying seven crew members unwell with suspected COVID symptoms, is set to dock in Fremantle for medical checks.

* Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews says it is too early to tell whether there will be an extension of the state's five-day COVID-19 lockdown.

* Victoria's outbreak has spread to the border town of Mildura, from a man who caught the virus after he went to an AFL match at the MCG last Saturday.


* There have been 10,067,446 doses administered in the national COVID-19 vaccination rollout up to Saturday, including 96,700 in the previous 24 hours.

* Of the total, 5,693,873 have been administered by the Commonwealth (an increase of 46,951 in the previous 24 hours).

* 5,212,152 have been issued in primary care (+44,404) and 481,721 in aged and disability facilities (+2,547).

* 4,373,573 have been administered by the states and territories, including 49,749 in the previous 24 hours.

* Australia reported 121 local cases on Saturday: 105 in NSW and 16 in Victoria.

* There were seven new overseas-acquired cases in hotel quarantine: four in NSW, two in Victoria, and one in Queensland.

* The national death toll is 914: Victoria 820, NSW 60, Tasmania 13, WA 9, Queensland 7, SA 4, ACT 3 (Two Queensland residents who died in NSW have been included in the official tolls of both states).

* Vaccine doses administered: at least 3,596,199,364
