THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK IN NSW:

* New locally acquired cases: 261 (up 45 on the previous 24 hours)

* New cases acquired overseas: 3 (up 2 on the previous 24 hours)

* Total cases in the entire pandemic: 77,482

* In hospital: 228 (-7)

* In intensive care: 40 (-1)

* On a ventilator: 16 (-1)

* Deaths in current outbreak: 551 (+1)

* Deaths for the entire pandemic: 608 (+1)

* Tests processed (over 24-hour reporting period): 77,009

* Total vaccinations administered (as of Wednesday): 12,608,060

* Vaccination coverage (aged 16 and over, as of Wednesday): 94.06 per cent have had one dose, 90.58 per cent are fully vaccinated.

* Vaccination coverage (aged 12-15, as of Wednesday): 80.3 per cent have had their first dose, 71.1 per cent are fully vaccinated.
