VACCINE SAFETY

* Two NSW men, aged 55 and 71, have died days after getting the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine

* Therapeutic Goods Administration boss John Skerritt says current evidence in relation to the two cases does not suggest a likely association between the deaths and the vaccine

* The TGA says 11,000 adverse events have been reported to it, out of the 2.1 million jabs delivered so far

* The adverse events range from a sore arm to people having a heart attack a week after having a vaccine

* The TGA is looking at every serious incident in detail and cross-checking them with overseas experts

* Blood clotting continues to be a "very rare condition"

* Medicine regulators in Australia, Europe and the US say the benefits of the AstraZeneca vaccine "dramatically exceed the risks"
