Lamb chops shoved up car exhaust pipe in bizarre act of vandalism

Police have been left puzzled after a series of cars were vandalised by a variety of meats being left on them, including lamb chops being stuffed into an exhaust pipe.

The crimes also involve raw meat and eggs being thrown at properties in Credenhill Hereford on 2 April.

Police do not know if the incidents are a prank or something more sinister.

Uncooked chicken drumsticks were also jammed on the wheel rim of another vehicle on the same day.

West Mercia Police have shared images of the fresh meat that was used in the incidents and they are appealing for information.

In a statement, West Mercia Police said: "We are investigating an incident in Credenhill Hereford. On the 2nd April at approximately 21:35 eggs and raw meat were thrown at a property in the area.

"The offender then proceeded to stuff lamb chops into the exhaust pipe of a vehicle that was parked on the driveway. Another property nearby also had food thrown at it."

The incidents annoyed people online for wasting good food during the cost of living crisis.

One person replying to a police Facebook post wrote: "Not only making a mess for people, what a waste of good food, when so many people in the world starving.
