Radio host Kyle Sandilands has shocked listeners with some very graphic details about his newborn son’s birth.
Kyle’s fiancée Tegan Kynaston required a caesarean on Thursday, and the star explained that he was able to see far more than he wanted during the operation.
“I was so petrified because Tegan had to have a C-section,” he said on the Kyle & Jackie O show.
“They put up a sheet and I’m at one end with her, and then she goes, ‘Oh, they haven’t started yet’. I stood up to look and I thought, oh, they have very much started, there’s your intestines.
According to Kyle, once Tegan realised Otto was about to be extracted, she went completely white.
While the host said it was ‘overwhelming’, the birth went smoothly without complications.
“The baby’s perfect, everything’s wonderful, he was just under three kilos,” he gushed.
After showing co-host Jackie the newborn, she couldn’t stop saying how ‘cute’ he looked.
“Oh he’s so cute, look at him! What colour hair does he have? It’s like a light brown, right?” she asked.
Kyle let her know that the nurses believe he has blonde hair, although it looks a bit darker at the moment.
Kyle's shock disappearance
This comes after Kyle abandoned his radio show once Tegan went into labour.
While hosting the Kyle & Jackie O Show on Thursday morning, the shock jock interrupted to announce he had to rush off as his fiancée was going into labour.
"Guys, I'm broadcasting from home for a reason, and that reason seems to have raised its head now," he said.
"I think I might have to leave the show ... and go to the hospital."
Jackie 'O' Henderson then excitedly asked, "Oh, it's time?".
Kyle sounded panicked as he prepared to leave and told everybody to calm down as they clapped and cheered.
He is then heard in the background saying, "Ok, right, are you ready? Let's go", before he says "I'm so sorry" to his co-host.
"I feel very unprepared ... I've got my bag ... yeah I've gotta run," he said before telling Jackie O he felt like he was "abandoning her".
"Kyle's having a baby," she said excitedly.
"I'm, like, freaking out, we weren't expecting it. We have no idea how long this is going to take."
