Tommy Fury was handed a controversial boxing win over YouTube star KSI on another dramatic night for the crossover format of the sport on Saturday.

Despite KSI starting the more active of the two fighters, landing and throwing more punches and Fury having a point deducted for repeated hitting to the back of the head, ‘TNT’ went 10-0 in his professional career with a surprise majority decision victory. KSI fumed at the decision and the two had to be separated after the fight on an evening that definitely failed to live up to the massive hype.

Logan Paul and Dillon Danis finally met in their eagerly-anticipated grudge match, though it ended in a chaotic disqualification as a frustrated Danis attempted a guillotine takedown on his opponent, prompting an ugly mass brawl with security inside the ring. Danis was roundly booed for his performance, in which he barely threw a shot. Logan Paul is certainly not taking much joy from his win over Dillon Danis in the co-main event last night.

After weeks of genuinely acrimonious build-up between the pair, Paul dominated the six-round heavyweight contest before it descended into absolute farce with his MMA opponent attempting a takedown and being immediately disqualified before a mass brawl broke out inside the ring that saw security and Jake Paul get involved.

It was absolute chaos at the AO Arena and Paul summed up his feelings later on social media, having watched Danis troll his fiance Nina Agdal in the build-up to the fight.

He wrote on X: “Honestly nothing to be proud about. that dude sucks, a real c**t.

“I’m gonna go back to living my life but felt good to beat his ass for 6 rounds and let him embarrass himself. Drink prime.”

On Instagram, Paul posted a picture of Danis laid out on his back in the ring along with the simple caption: “Embarrassing.”

It’s fair to say that a certain Jake Paul, arch-rival of both KSI and Tommy Fury, was enjoying himself on social media throughout and following last night’s scrappy main event - for which he was ringside in Manchester.

“I took my loss like a man from the scorecard read and showed the youth how to learn from it and come back to take a W. This 30 year old man crying for an appeal,” he wrote on X of KSI’s complaints, having been outpointed by Fury himself back in February.

He also referred to the fight as “straight trash” and a “snoozefest”, referring to KSI as a “sore loser” who choked.

KSI vs Fury: Tommy Fury predicts early night for ‘The Nightmare'

Tommy Fury has predicted an “early night” for KSI as the two finally meet inside a boxing ring on Saturday.

Manchester’s AO Arena will play host to one of the biggest YouTube crossover boxing events yet when ‘TNT’ puts his professional credentials on the line against ‘The Nightmare’.

Fury edged a split decision victory against Jake Paul in February and heads into the bout as a big favourite. The younger brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson is unbeaten in all nine of his professional fights, albeit KSI has constantly made reference to the quality of his opponents.

Still, it is a fight laced with risk for Fury, who comes from a family steeped in the traditions of the sport.

KSI, meanwhile, returns to the ring since his controversial meeting with Joe Fournier. Though the 30-year-old was initially the victory by way of knockout in the second round, it has since been ruled a No Contest by the Professional Boxing Association (PBA).

Prior to that, Luis Alcaraz Pineda was the only professional fighter KSI had faced in his career thus far, though he did beat Logan Paul – who features on Saturday’s undercard against former Bellator mixed martial artist Dillon Danis – in an amateur bout back in 2019.

Having beaten Paul, Fury sees little threat in Saturday’s opponent.

“I’m not really interested,” said Fury when asked about how KSI might approach the fight.

“If he stands and fights, it’ll be an early night for him. If he runs around the ring, it’ll be an early night.

“I’ve been boxing for a long time and I’m fully, fully aware of how to cut the ring off against an idiot like this so he can do what he wants.

“It doesn’t matter. Whatever he’s going to do on Saturday, it doesn’t matter. It’s all about what I do.”

Prediction: Fury to win on points

It is difficult to look past Fury here, even if he did not totally convince against Paul. He boasts a much broader boxing background and is a major step up in class for KSI, there’s little getting away from that.

While the first-round knockout he is predicting seems unlikely, a comfortable points decision should be achievable for him.

Fury to win via points.
