Kmart leggings recalled over choking fears

A pair of children’s leggings sold at Kmart earlier this year have been recalled due to choking fears.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission issued the recall notice on Sunday for a pair of Kmart leggings.

The two-pack of the baby girl’s organic leggings with a roll waist was sold in Kmart stores across Australia this year from February 4 until July 3.

The leggings features decorative buttons which could potentially be detached from the garment if pulled, meaning they pose as a potential choking and suffocation hazard for young children if ingested.

“Customers should cease using their product immediately and return the product to any Kmart store for a full refund,” the ACCC said in a recall notice.
