Kmart's $89 'knock-off' bladeless fan a hit with shoppers
Shoppers are singing the praises of a cheap and cheerful bladeless fan that’s recently arrived at Kmart stores.
One happy customer took to Facebook to share their glowing review of the $89 Anko fan, describing it as ‘great!’
“Bought one and it’s great!” they wrote alongside a snap of the fan in their living room.
Featuring a three-speed setting, a fixed and oscillation function as well as a fun LED light, the item has been compared with more expensive options on the market.
“Apparently Kmart came out with a knock-off bladeless fan,” one Facebook user wrote in the comments section, no doubt in reference to Dyson’s bladeless offering which retails for $599 onwards.
Indeed, a comparison by CHOICE earlier this year found that another Kmart fan, the $89 Anko 40cm Wi-Fi Pedestal Fan, outperformed Dyson’s $548 Cool Tower Fan.

Another curious user asked if the fan was noisy to run, to which the original poster replied: “I put it on its highest speed and yes you can hear it but nothing more than a normal fan.”
Others piped up with their own opinions on the fan, with one writing, “Love mine too”.
“Just bought one home and it's fantastic!” said another.
One was so convinced they added it to their gift list for Father’s Day:
“Omg. How awesome. Father’s day present on its way!” they announced.
