Kieren Jack's parents devastated after not being invited to wedding

Sydney Swans co-captain Kieren Jack and long-term partner Charlotte Goodlet have officially tied the knot.

The footy star, 31, and his TV producer bride, 26, exchanged their vows in front of family and friends at Allview Escape in the NSW Blue Mountains on Friday – but Kieren’s parents, who have reportedly accused Charlotte of being a “gold-digger”, did not attend.

The couple had been engaged for two years and looked picture perfect in snaps shared by guests using the hashtag, #pairofjacks.

Charlotte wore a long-sleeved gown by Aussie designers Pallas Couture, while Kieren looked smart in a black tux and bow tie. Their bulldog, Nelson, was also by their side and posed with the happy couple for a family photo.

Following the wedding, Kieren’s parents, NRL legend Garry Jack and Donna Jack, told Yahoo Lifestyle they were disappointed they weren’t there.

“We would like to wish Kieren and Charlotte all the best on their wedding,” they said in a statement.

“It is unfortunate and disappointing that we were not in attendance of our son’s wedding, but sadly we didn’t make the invite list. Nonetheless, we wish them both well”.

Kieren and Charlotte’s feud with his parents was made public back in July 2016.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the issues began due to Kieren’s relationship with Charlotte, with the athlete’s mother Donna taking to Twitter to express her disappointment that she and Kieren’s father, were banned from attending his milestone 200th game.

“So sad … you 200 AFL & you don’t want us there, your parents. No appreciation for all the yrs helping you get there (sic),” Donna wrote in a tweet that was later deleted.

The family drama is thought to have started in 2014 after Donna and Garry weren’t offered club-issued flights and accommodation for that year’s AFL grand final.

Instead, Kieren opted to give the tickets to Charlotte and her parents.

Kieren has stood by Charlotte throughout the public and messy feud telling reporters: “My priorities of support are firmly with my partner and my little brother who I love and care for very much.”

“It’s been tough on her. She doesn’t deserve the treatment she has received. She is strong… she is an independent woman,” he added.
