* All states and territories except Victoria will introduce public health orders to force aged care workers to get vaccinated

* Disability workers are strongly encouraged to get the jab but it will not be mandatory

* South Australia will run a 14-day home quarantine pilot for returned travellers

* Returning Australians will be required to declare from July 16 whether, when and where they have been vaccinated

* The federal government has scheduled 29 flights to bring Australians home

* This will allow about 4000 people to complete quarantine at Howard Springs in the Northern Territory

* Outbound travellers are strongly recommended to get vaccinated before they leave the country

* Australia has more than 2000 spare ventilators, with over 7000 ICU beds able to treat COVID patients

* Pfizer doses are expected to increase to about one million a week from July 19, with about 4.5 million expected in August

* A total of 8.9 million vaccine doses have been administered

* A new vaccine campaign will be launched on the weekend
