Kendal Calling has unveiled the line-up for its 2025 event, which includes Courteeners, DJ Fatboy Slim, rockers The Prodigy and Leeds band Kaiser Chiefs.

The festival has made a name for itself as a “mini Glastonbury of the North” and, since its inception in 2006, the festival has grown to become a Lake District mainstay.

Co-founder of Kendal Calling Andy Smith said: “I can’t quite believe that we’re about to celebrate 20 years of Kendal Calling.

“From humble beginnings welcoming 900 partygoers to Kendal’s Abbot Hall, to an astonishing 40,000 of you who turn out every year to revel in the sheer joy and excitement of the perfect party, a glorious gathering in the fields of Lowther Deer Park – wow.”

When is Kendal Calling?

Kendal Calling will take place in the stunning environs of Lower Deer Park in the Lake District from Thursday July 31 to Sunday August 3.

The expected 40,000 festival attenders will assemble in the fields. If Kendal Calling was a town it would have the third-largest population in Cumbria.

Tickets will go on sale on Monday November 4 after the pre-sale starts at 10am on Saturday November 2.

Tickets can be bought here.

Who’s in the Kendal Calling line-up?

The four headliners are Courteeners, Fatboy Slim, The Prodigy and Kaiser Chiefs.

The Last Dinner Party, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Scouting for Girls, Skindred, The Lottery Winners, Maxïmo Park, Corinne Bailey Rae, The K's, Reverend & The Makers, The Pigeon Detectives, Daniel Bedingfield, Nieve Ella, and others are among the other artists on the line-up.

There will be comedy from Jason Manford, DJ sets by Mr Scruff, DJ Yoda and Lowes, as well as a special 20th birthday performance by Tim Burgess and the Royal Northern College of Music Orchestra at Kendal Calling.

Courteeners frontman Liam Fray said: “Our set in 2019 was electric and was, so I’m told, one of the biggest singalongs Kendal Calling has ever witnessed.

“So it goes without saying that we can’t wait to get back on the main stage, playing to 40,000 of you lovely lot. And as if that wasn’t enough, we’ve got 20 years of Kendal to celebrate, too. It’s going to be massive.”
