Keith Lemon and Ashley Roberts will join forces as hosts of the new E4 show The Real Dirty Dancing.

The Pussycat Dolls singer and Celebrity Juice presenter are due to front the eight-episode series, in which famous faces are given the task of recreating moments from the 1987 movie Dirty Dancing.

Celebrities will be paired up and will compete for the grand prize — the chance to recreate the iconic moment in which Patrick Swayze hoisted Jennifer Grey above his head as they danced to (I've Had) The Time of My Life.

It's inspired by the 2019 Australian series of the same name, which ran for four episodes.

Lemon told The Sun he was "chuffed" to be asked to host the show, especially as he has portrayed Grey's character, Baby, on both Let's Dance for Comic Relief and The Keith and Paddy Picture Show.

The comedian continues to host anarchic panel show Celebrity Juice and fronted a revival of Through the Keyhole for ITV until its cancellation in 2020.

Roberts, meanwhile, recently reunited the Pussycat Dolls and said she was excited to be able to showcase her affection for one of her favourite movies.

She said: "The film had a huge impact on my life and I couldn’t be more excited to be involved in this series.

“I’m going to be on hand to help out the celebs with their Johnny and Baby moves and look forward to being reunited with Keith. Wish me luck! It’s going to be a lot of fun."
