Kazakh president issues shoot-to-kill order to quell protests

After days of escalating violent protests in Kazakhstan, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said he has ordered his troops 'to shoot to kill' in order to quell the countrywide uprising. Protests began in response to a sharp increase in fuel prices.
