Kate's 5 fun things to do in and around Waterloo region: July 12 to 14
The weekend will be warm with the possibility of rain, but there's lots to take your mind off the weather.
It's a Guelph Beer Bus weekend, so hop on the free bus to hit up the different breweries in town.
The Ward Night Market is on Friday night in Guelph at 322 York Road and 122 Harris Street. Dogs are allowed to come along.
There's also Stitch Fest at The Hive, an art collective in Guelph, on Sunday starting at 11 a.m.
The Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery is hosting a downtown Kitchener art walk Saturday afternoon. Tickets are available through the gallery.
The Waterloo Public Library has a community art project, where people can help design and create two new pieces that will be put on display. The drop-in workshops are with artist Panela Rojas.
The Kitchener Panthers are on the road Friday night in Hamilton, but host the Barrie Baycats Sunday at 2 p.m. at Jack Couch Park in Kitchener.
The Guelph Royals are in London Friday night, then host the Toronto Maple Leafs Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Hastings Stadium.

Kultrún World Music Festival
Friday 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Saturday 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Sunday 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Waterloo Park (Westmount side)
This festival that features music from all around the globe is back, but in a new location this year. Kultrún has outgrown its space in St. Jacobs and made the move to Waterloo Park.
Performances include: Conexión Latina, Afro Andean Funk, Golosa la Orquesta, Clefs of Moher, Zar Electrik and more.
There are also workshops including puppets and shadows theatre, yoga, drums and junk music.
Dog Friendly K-W will also have a free sniffscape pop-up at the event on Saturday and Sunday.
Cruising on King
Friday 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
King Street, between Water and Frederick streets, downtown Kitchener
This annual event will see classic and exotic cars parked along King Street with music from The Beatle Band and Beggars Banquet.
Momma's Cookout and Music Festival
Saturday 1 p.m. start
Gaukel Block, downtown Kitchener
This free music festival from the Freedom Marching Project will feature a gospel hour, bucket drumming, plus performances from Rufus John, Leila Dey, JRDN, Choclair and more. There will also be food for sale.
The organizers say "the food nourishes your body, the music fuels your soul and the people are at the heart of it all."
Wellington County Multicultural Festival
Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Wellington County Museum and Archives
This year's event features food, performances and free activities on the ground of the museum. It's a family-friendly and free event.
Performances include the Fergus pipe bands, Guelph Jing Mo Kung Fu and Lion Dance, Zen Flow Dance Yoga, Volya Ukrainian Group Dance and Song, Tahitian Solo Dance and more.
There's also a puppet show, African drumming, bubbleology and a Four Paws Flying Entertainment dog show.
Taste of Preston Food Crawl
Friday 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
King Street, Cambridge
Multiple restaurants in Preston will be taking part in this food crawl and there are even some treats for your pets. Tickets are available through Bowman's Home Hardware.
