Kate Beckinsale wows fans as she reclines by pool in stunning pink gown

She is known for her love of fashion – but Kate Beckinsale's latest stylish outfit has particularly impressed her fans.

The actress, 48, wowed in a gorgeous pink frock as she posed in a reclined position beside a pristine pool.

She accessorised the ruffled, one-shouldered dress, by brand Lever Couture, with sky-high silver platform heels. and voluminous hair. 

Captioning the stunning image on Instagram, taken as part of her new shoot for Rollercoaster magazine, she simply wrote: "Pool day."

The beautiful picture was popular with social media users, who left more than 63,000 'likes'.

Paris Hilton was one of many to comment with a string of pink heart emojis.

Others wrote that the shot was "so major", and told the mother-of-one that she looked "stunning" and like a "pretty mermaid".

Earlier this month, Beckinsale shared to Instagram another picture of herself wearing the same ensemble on the magazine's cover.

At the time, many called her outfit "fit" and "flawless", however several gently teased the star for the rather glamorous at-home look.

One joked that it looked like a "nightmare to iron" while another sarcastically suggested it was a "great outfit for relaxing by the pool".

It comes after Beckinsale revealed that the ageing process meant little to her for an important reason.

The actress explained in a recent interview that the passing of her father, the actor Richard Beckinsale, from a sudden heart attack when she was five years old has impacted on how she feels about getting older.

Speaking to The Sunday Times' Style magazine, she said: "I've been so aware of the possibility people can drop dead at any time."

The actress also shared last month that she wasn't able to see her daughter Lily, 22, for two years due to pandemic restrictions.

Speaking on TV show Live with Kelly and Ryan, she opened up about how "preposterous" it was to have been separated from her only child for so long.

The star – who shares Lily with ex-husband Michael Sheen – lives in Los Angeles, while her daughter is based in New York.
