'Karma got him good': Mercedes passenger bashed by cyclist

The shocking moment a cyclist sought revenge on a Mercedes passenger who allegedly tossed rubbish at him has been caught on dashcam footage.

The video filmed in Melbourne was published to Facebook group Dash Cam Owners Australia on Wednesday, drawing a large response from stunned members.

“When a red light foils your escape plan,” it was captioned.

The silver Mercedes can be seen turning left before suddenly slowing down and stopping on the side of the road.

The car’s passenger is believed to have thrown an item at the cyclist waiting to cross the street before speeding away.

However, soon after the Mercedes was forced to stop at a red light, giving the cyclist enough time to catch up.

The rider is filmed jumping off his bike as he reached the car before launching multiple punches at the passenger through the open window.

After the light turns green, the driver immediately moves forward before cutting into the next land and turning left and the cyclist picked up his bike and left.

The footage then cuts off.

Shocked viewers took to Facebook to share their support of the cyclist.

“Karma got him good,” one man said.

“Yeah fair reaction from the cyclist. I’d have done the same thing…” another wrote.

“May potentially be the first time a cyclist is respected on this page,” a third commenter joked.

“A red light, the natural enemy of the quick get away,” a fourth person added.
