Kaley Cuoco surprise sex scene confession: 'Movie magic'

Kaley Cuoco has enjoyed quite an incredible TV career, but The Big Bang Theory star is making some changes in her new show, Based On A True Story, which is out now on Binge.

The 37-year-old, who welcomed her first child with partner Tom Pelphrey earlier this year, has revealed she is "past" shooting sex scenes and will be using a body double from now on.

"I don’t roll that way. I need someone else to do that stuff," Kaley told USA Today. "I’m past that. I’m not doing that anymore."

"Also, who wants to see that? Not my thing. I'd rather let someone else do it, that's what movie magic [is for]. We don't have to do those things anymore. We can have someone else do it, and we can fake our way through. You think that Chris Messina played tennis? Please! He was terrible! That's his double."

In the show, Kaley's character, like her, was pregnant, which meant she was even more grateful to have a body double, who wore a prosthetic belly, as her bump grew.

"I had to be on my feet a lot. It was a lot," she added. "And by the end, I was nine months pregnant. So the fight scene at the end near the grave − the fantasy − a lot of that was done by my double because it was like I was literally about to give birth, like any second."

Kaley added that it was refreshing to have producers encourage her to gain weight and eat more, with the star saying she hopes her changing body inspires other women.

The actress and the Ozark star welcomed their daughter Matilda at the end of March, with Kaley taking to Instagram to share the exciting news, writing, "Introducing, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, the new light of our lives! We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle."

She added, "Thank you to the doctors, nurses, family and friends who have helped us immensely over the last few days. We are blessed beyond belief."

Kaley also shared a sweet tribute to her partner, writing, "[Tom] didn't think I could fall even more in love with you, but I did."
