There may still be over a month until the release of Apple TV's Palm Royale, but we've finally got our first look at Kristen Wiig, Kaia Gerber, Laura Dern and Allison Janey in character. And, if the trailer is anything to go by, we're correct in our prediction this will be one of the best TV shows of 2024. If only for the fashion alone.

Loosely based on the book Mr and Mrs American Pie by Juliet McDaniel, the series is set in 1969 and tells the story of Maxine Simmons, played by Wiig, and her attempt to break into the uber-fashionable Palm Beach high society. Cue plenty of retro '60s fashion moments we were instantly drooling over.

None more so than Kaia Gerber's showgirl costume. The model-turned-actress has had small parts in American Horror Story and Babylon, and now takes on the role of Mitzi, a local manicurist.

Glimpsed for only a second in the trailer shared by Apple TV on Instagram, Kaia can be seen wearing a red, orange and yellow beaded bra to and matching knickers with a red ruffled caped skirt and sleeves. A feathered headdress in the same colour palette completes the ensemble.

And we're not the only ones who took note. As well as her dad, Rande Gerber, leaving three red heard emojis below the post in a cute show of fatherly support, fans wrote in the comments section:

Gooooo Gurl @kaiagerber ❤️❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏👏

Congratulations Kaia you doing a great job acting! Proud of you! You’re on your way to stardom! Already a beautiful super model!

You look GREAT!!!!! CONGRATS 🤩❤️❤️🤩🤩❤️

I’m all here for the drama, fashion and this cast!!👏👏❤️

The cast, the setting, the clothes and the premise. I knew I was in about 5 seconds into the trailer and that is rare for me ❤️❤️❤️

With Alix Fried, the costume designer behind Nine Perfect Strangers and Big Little Lies, responsible for all the incredible looks, we know this is the fashion-forward TV fix we need – no, *deserve*. And all of the costumes worn by the full cast in the trailer perfectly illustrate that.

It's the preppiness of Gossip Girl meets the escapism of The White Lotus and it's safe to say we're already obsessed. Counting down the days to 20 March already...
