The Champions League returns on Friday and Italian champions Juventus have a big job to do against Lyon.

Serie A winners once again, Juve remain outsiders for European glory and must overcome a 1-0 first-leg deficit to reach the last eight.

Lyon know they must win the entire competition to earn European football again next season, after losing the French League Cup final last weekend and failing to qualify through Ligue 1.

The winners here will face either Manchester City or Real Madrid in the last eight.

Here’s all you need to know about the game.

When is it and what time is kick-off?

The match will begin at 8pm BST on Friday 7 August at the Allianz Stadium.

How can I watch it online and on TV?

The game will be broadcast live on BT Sport 2 and BT Sport Extra 2.

Subscribers can also stream the match on the BT Sport website and app.

Team news

Juventus are without Douglas Costa, while Paulo Dybala misses out. Mattia De Sciglio is also injured.

Lyon welcomed back Memphis Depay to action in their cup final loss at the weekend, but Kenny Tete is unfit.

Confirmed line-ups

Juventus: Szczesny, Cuadrado, De Ligt, Bonucci, Sandro, Rabiot, Pjanic, Bentancur, Ronaldo, Bernardeschi, Higuain.

Lyon: Lopes, Dubois, Denayer, Marcelo, Marçal, Cornet, Caqueret, Guimarães, Aouar, Depay, Toko-Ekambi.

Odds

Juventus — 5/11

Draw — 19/5

Lyon — 38/5

Prediction

Lyon seem likely to take a similar approach to their display against PSG in the French final; they defended well there but were short of quality in attack. Juve have the prowess up front to overcome the one-goal deficit if they are at their best.
