Justin Timberlake misstep could cost him $750k

Looks like Justin Timberlake’s very public hand-holding misstep could have cost him more than just his dignity.

Reports from the New York Daily News claim Justin and wife Jessica Biel signed on a dotted line before their marriage, reportedly sorting out a detailed prenuptial agreement before saying ‘I do’.

Now the news site reports the document included a ‘lifestyle’ clause that would require Justin to fork out a $750,000 financial penalty if he is caught cheating.

With the actor implicated in flirty photos with co-star Alisha Wainwright last month, it’s a clause that’s sure to be on everyone’s mind.

No word yet from Jessica, although Justin unexpectedly addressed the photos in a grovelling apology on Thursday.

The singer has admitted to a “strong lapse in judgment” in the apology posted to Instagram which received over 8,500 comments in just 30 minutes.

“I stray away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family I feel it is important to address recent rumours that are hurting the people I love,” Justin wrote.

“A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgement - but let me be clear - nothing happened between me and my co-star.”

He added he had drunk “way too much” that night and that he regrets his behaviour.

“I should have known better,” he continued. “This is not the example I want to set for my son.”

Alisha Wainwright also attempted to quash the rapidly spreading scandal.

"There is no validity to this speculation. They are currently working on a project together," a representative for Alisha told People. "Members of the cast and crew were all together."

The 38-year-old, who has been married to 37-year-old Jessica Biel since 2012, was on a break from filming for his upcoming movie, Palmer when a photographer snapped him getting close with his 30-year-old co-star in a New Orleans bar.

The pair, who are parents to four-year-old son Silas, have weathered their fair share of controversy over the years.

They first met at a surprise party in Hollywood in 2005, however they didn’t actually start dating until 2007, when Justin plucked up the courage to ask for Jessica’s number.

In 2011, they broke up after four years of dating, saying at the time in a statement: "The two remain friends and continue to hold the highest level of love and respect for each other."

In an interview with Vanity Fair in 2011, Justin said: “We talked about marriage”.

"I said that I think the mistake is that people commit to who that person is right then and not the person they're going to become. That's the art of staying together, is changing together."

"When you say it like that, it seems damn near impossible, right?"

By December, the pair were back together and Justin popped the question in Jackson, Wyo.

In October 2012, they married in a fairytale wedding, with Jessica later telling Elle magazine: "It was a bit of a leap of faith at the time."
