The jury in the McCulkin family murder trial has been sent home for the weekend after not yet being able to reach a verdict.
Garry Dubois, 69, is on trial in the Brisbane Supreme Court for the rape and murder of siblings Vicki and Leanne McCulkin and murder of their mother Barbara.
It is alleged Dubois and Vincent O'Dempsey, who will stand trial next year, took the family from their Highgate Hill home and killed them in bushland on or about January 16, 1974.
The jury was allowed to go home on Friday after deliberating for about eight hours since the previous afternoon.
The trial will continue on Monday.
