The July 1 changes all Aussies need to know about

The beginning of the financial year on July 1 will bring changes affecting almost everyone living in Australia!

Here’s a brief list of some of the changes:

• Minimum wage increase of 3.5 per cent

• Plastic bag ban in Queensland, Western Australia and all Coles stores.

• Penalty rate changes

• The new Child Care Subsidy comes into effect

• Power prices to drop in New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia

• Gas prices to increase in some states
