Judges use brollies inside leaky Qld court

A judge has bemoaned the appalling state of a Queensland courthouse, saying corridors run with water when it rains and staff have to use umbrellas inside to stay dry.

Judge John Robertson says the Maroochydore Courthouse is a white elephant and wants the state government to relocate it.

"We actually have running water but when you think of running water, you don't think as you're walking down the corridor you're dodging buckets, or in Judge Long's case, or Judge Dodds before him, having to put up an umbrella in chambers," he has told the ABC.
