John Mulaney announces that girlfriend Olivia Munn is pregnant on ‘Late Night’
Comedian John Mulaney broke down what a roller coaster his past 12 months have been when he stopped by Late Night With Seth Meyers Tuesday, a year where he hosted SNL, checked into rehab for cocaine and alcohol abuse, and began dating actress Olivia Munn.
And it’s that relationship which Mulaney says has helped him tremendously during recovery, especially as it takes him toward a new chapter in life. Because he ended up having a major announcement while discussing his relationship with her.
“She got to date me right out of recovery, which is what they call a reverse catch,” Mulaney joked. “And that's been very incredible. And she's kind of held my hand through that hell. And we're having a baby together.”

JOHN MULANEY: Then in the spring I went to Los Angeles and, uh, met and started to date a wonderful woman named Olivia.
SETH MYERS: Who I know well--
JOHN MULANEY: Yes.
SETH MYERS: --and is a lovely woman
JOHN MULANEY: You know Olivia Munn very well. I met her actually for the first time in life at your wedding.
SETH MYERS: Yes.

KYLIE MAR: Viewers on Twitter were excited to hear the news with comments like "John Mulaney is going to be a dad! I'm so happy for him and Olivia!" And Mulaney, whose friends, including Seth Meyers, staged an intervention for him last year, had plenty of jokes about the daunting task of being a dad but also shared a sweet moment with the host.
JOHN MULANEY: You guys saved me from drugs, and Olivia and this baby have helped save me from myself in this early journey out of recovery, and yeah, I don't have a joke for that. I'm really grateful to you, buddy.
SETH MYERS: I'm grateful to you.
JOHN MULANEY: I love you.
