- US television host Jerry Springer has died, aged 79, following a short battle with pancreatic cancer. The veteran broadcaster hosted "The Jerry Springer" Show for nearly 30 years. He also appeared on "The Masked Singer" late last year, performing in disguise as "The Beetle." Before his extensive television career, Springer was a politician who served one term as mayor of Cincinnati in 1977.
The US Coast Guard has taken the difficult decision to suspend the search for an Australian man who went overboard from a Hawaii-bound cruise ship. The passenger went overboard from The Quantum of the Seas on Tuesday night local time, nearly two weeks after the cruise left Brisbane for it's journey to the Hawaiian islands.
Hugh Grant has claimed Murdoch-owned publication "The Sun", hacked his voicemails and tapped landline telephones to get stories about his personal life. The actor also alleges the paper broke into his flat and placed a tracking device in his car. "The Sun" has denied all the allegations and says no illegal behavior took place.
Eastern Australia is in for a soaking this weekend, with parts of New South Wales expected to see a month's worth of rainfall by Monday. According to Weatherzone, concerns are being held for the state's South Coast and mountain ranges, putting the area at risk of flooding.
