Reality star fired after ‘offensive’ social media posts resurface: ‘Disgusting’
Reality TV star Jennie Nguyen has been fired from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City after her racist and anti-vax posts resurfaced on social media last week.
Bravo released a statement on Wednesday morning confirming that the 44-year-old has been removed from the show following enormous fan demand online.
“Bravo has ceased filming with Jennie Nguyen and she will no longer be a cast member of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” the network said.
“We recognise we failed to take the appropriate action once her offensive social media posts were brought to our attention.
“Moving forward we will work to improve our processes to ensure we make better informed and more thoughtful casting decisions.”

Jennie, who is a medical spa entrepreneur, allegedly shared posts on Facebook in 2020 supporting ‘White Lives Matter’ and labelling protestors as “BLM thugs” and “violent gangs”.
She is also said to have re-posted anti-vax content and conspiracy theories that Joe Biden stole the election from Donald Trump.
Jennie has since issued a statement on Instagram addressing the controversy, admitting that she had shared the “offensive” and “hurtful” posts two years ago.
“I want to acknowledge and apologise for my deleted Facebook posts from 2020 that resurfaced today,” she wrote.
“At the time, I thought I was speaking out against violence, but I have since learned how offensive and hurtful my words were.
"It’s why I deactivated that account more than a year ago and why I continue to try to learn about perspectives different from my own. I regret those posts and am sincerely sorry for the pain they caused.”
Earlier this week Real Housewives host Andy Cohen broke his silence on the incident during his SiriusXM show Radio Andy, labelling her posts as “upsetting” and “disgusting”.
A number of Jennie’s Salt Lake City co-stars have also spoken out about the situation, including Jen Shah who said she was “deeply offended”.
“It was infuriating to see her like and repost comments that made a mockery of and showed complete apathy toward those killed marching to bring awareness to the deep-seated social justice issues that plague our country,” she shared.
“I am equally disappointed by the disingenuous apology that was issued.”
