Fans of Wednesday have been given a glimpse of season two in a behind-the-scenes teaser released by Netflix. The short clip, shared on Thursday night, features star Jenna Ortega getting into character as the brooding Addams Family daughter.

The teaser also includes brief appearances from Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán, who play Morticia and Gomez Addams, alongside Joy Sunday, Emma Myers, and executive producer Tim Burton, who is back to direct four episodes.

The clip opens with a shot of Ortega on a monitor, dressed as Wednesday, before cutting to Guzmán addressing the camera, saying: "Hello, my little storm cloud."

Fans get a sneak peek at some of the season's elaborate sets, including a stone courtyard, a grand drawing room with a fireplace adorned by a stone Medusa, and a clocktower interior.

The mix of gothic architecture and extravagant decorations, including a werewolf statue, sets the tone for the new season.

Ortega reappears, holding a jagged blade and murmuring, "Let's play dolls." Zeta-Jones, Guzmán, and Myers then welcome viewers to the set, with Zeta-Jones teasing that the new season will be "bigger and more twisted than you can ever imagine."

The teaser cuts to Burton on set, wearing a beret and calling out, "Action!" Quick shots follow, hinting at crowd scenes, and Ortega is briefly seen on stage, shouting or singing into a vintage microphone.

The clip ends with Ortega, dressed in a gingham coat, staring into the camera and saying in a voiceover: "If we showed you any more, your eyes would bleed... and I'm not that generous."

Burton wraps up the teaser by optimistically saying, "OK, I think we've got it!" as he checks the footage on a monitor.

Production on season two is expected to continue until November, with a release date likely in 2025.

Meanwhile, Ortega’s viral Wednesday dress and Michele Pfeiffer’s Catwoman suit are among 600 items which will go on display as part of a new exhibition on the career of Tim Burton.
