Reality TV star found dead after 'concerning messages'

Hana Kimura, professional wrestler and the star of hit Netflix reality TV show Terrace House, has died aged 22.

Kimura’s death was confirmed by Stardom Wrestling on Saturday – an organisation she was a part of as a professional wrestler.

“We are very sorry to report that our Hana Kimura has passed away,” it tweeted. 

“Please be respectful and allow some time for things to process, and keep your thoughts and prayers with her family and friends.”

It’s not been reported what led to Kimura’s sudden death however, she previously implied on social media she’d become the victim of cyberbullying.

Fans were becoming increasingly worried as Kimura posted concerning messages and photos.

“I love it. I’m weak, I’m sorry,” she tweeted, according to Variety.

Kimura featured on the fifth and current season of Japanese reality TV show Terrace House, which sees three men and three women live under the same roof as they form relationships with each other.

It’s gained a cult following around the world since airing on Netflix in 2015.
