James Argent having 'Adele moment' as he shows off 13 stone weight loss
James Argent said he was having an “Adele moment” as he showed off his impressive 13 stone weight loss.
The TOWIE star did weigh 27 stone and said doctors had told him catching COVID at that weight could kill him.
But he has now had gastric surgery and has slimmed down to 14 stone, after dreaming of following singer Adele, who wowed everyone when she revealed her seven stone weight loss.

Posting before and after pictures on Instagram, Argent told fans he had “never felt happier”.
“Nine months ago I dreamed of having THAT @adele moment & here it is,” he wrote.
“After being 27 stone, depressed and having doctors telling me I was on ‘death row’ I made the decision to have gastric sleeve surgery with @wearetransform which reduced the size of my stomach and limited how much I could eat.
"I’ve since lost a total of 13 stone and now weigh 14 stone which surpassed all expectations. I’ve never felt happier or healthier.
“I can honestly say that it was the best decision I've ever made. It spurred me on to be serious about my eating habits and exercise.”
The TV star, 34, said since his operation he has followed advice and has stuck to a healthy diet with smaller portion sizes.
“I’ve also been training in the gym to make my body stronger,” he said. “That swim across the English Channel is still on the cards.”

Argent said he wanted to thank everyone who had helped him on his weight loss journey.
“When I look in the mirror, I’m finally happy with the man looking back at me,” he said.
“I’m delighted to be starting 2022 as the best version of me. The future is looking bright, and I can’t wait to live it.”
