Items believed to belong to missing man found on beach

A search continues for an elderly man in Western Australia after items believed to belong to him were found on a beach in Perth.

William Wayne, 76, was last seen at Mosman Park on Friday afternoon, with his car later found in the nearby suburb of Swanbourne, police said.

On Saturday morning SES volunteers found some property items along the coastline at Swanbourne, which are believed to belong to Mr Wayne.

Mr Wayne is described as being around 172cm tall and weighing about 90 kilograms. He has short grey hair, walks with a limp and wear glasses.

The 76-year-old is thought to be wearing khaki cargo pants, boots and a long-sleeved top.
