A Brisbane man has been stabbed in the arm after confronting intruders in his home.
Police say the 26-year-old was asleep at his Ascot unit just before midnight on Tuesday when he woke up and realised someone had broken in.
He was stabbed in the arm when he confronted the pair - a man and a woman who fled and remain on the run.
"He woke to the sounds of someone inside the property and when he challenged them he received a stab wound to the arm for his trouble," police told AAP.
The hunt for intruders continues.
The victim was taken to the Royal Brisbane Hospital for treatment.
