'I'm mortified': How a mum cut her mouth biting into a Coles bread roll

A Queensland mum says she cut her mouth after biting onto a dangerous object in a Coles bread roll.

Skye Cullen said she had purchased a six-pack of bread rolls from the Smithfield store in Cairns, but when eating them with dinner she “felt her tooth crack and tasted blood”.

I had a screw in my mouth Coles, a metal screw. I have pictures and I’m mortified I bet theres still buns on the shelf,” the mother wrote on Facebook.

I have a baby who is just starting to eat who could have just as easily ate this last night.

I don’t know what is going to fix this contamination, you’re lucky my daughter didn’t choke to death.”

Ms Cullen also posted pictures of the offending items, including the screw covered in bread.

In a statement to Yahoo7, a Coles spokesperson confirmed they had contacted Ms Cullen to follow up the complaint.
