'I'd have to move house': Homeowner's frightening discovery in sewing room

A Queensland resident has been caught by surprise after a slithery intruder made itself comfortable inside a sewing room.

Snake Catchers Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich & Gold Coast were called out to a Sherwood property in Brisbane’s southwest on Wednesday after reports a snake took up residence among a woman’s clutter in her sewing room.

“If it weren’t for the few displaced items, the homeowner wouldn’t have noticed it,” the snake catcher wrote online.

An image of the elusive snake was shared to Facebook for followers to hazard a guess where the snake was hiding.

Dozens tried their best to locate the snake, with some more successful than others.

“I must be blind as a bat, I can’t find it,” one Facebook user admitted.

Others were less concerned about its location and more bothered by snakes in general.

“I would literally die, I hate snakes.”

Several were able to spot the snake on one of the top shelves, to the right of the Peter Rabbit cutout.

While this intruder did its best to blend into its surroundings, one snake on the Sunshine Coast went one better in August with its clever disguise.
