'I feel like she helped': Woman becomes millionaire using late mum's lucky numbers
An Adelaide woman has credited her late mother for helping her become one of Australia’s newest millionaires with an “overwhelming” lotto win.
The woman, from Seaford Rise, was the sole division one winner in Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw 4013, scooping the entire jackpot of $1 million.
After checking her ticket online and discovering the incredible news, she admitted she’d barely been able to sleep.
“I don’t even know how I feel right now. I can’t believe this,” she told The Lott.
“Sorry, I can’t stop crying, I am so overwhelmed.”
The woman said she only won because of her mother’s influence.
“You know those were my mum’s numbers. After she passed away, I started using her numbers.
“I feel like she helped deliver my win. God bless her!
“It’s just insane. My heart is beating so fast.”
Following the news of their big win, her partner retired immediately.
“It was amazing,” she said, adding the family will go on holiday to relax and “take it all in”.
She told The Lott the last few months had been “tough”, with her father diagnosed with cancer.
“We’ve been through a lot, so this will really help us so much,” she said.
The winning X Lotto numbers were 13, 10, 40, 26, 11 and 43, while the supplementary numbers were 44 and 29.
