A woman who had been feeding raccoons in Washington state for almost four decades had the reason that’s a bad idea dramatically illustrated to her recently, when she had to flee when almost 100 of the hungry critters turned up in her yard.The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office said they came to the rescue after the woman, who lives just outside Poulsbo, north of Seattle, was “forced to run away in her car to escape the furry and very hungry creatures”.They released footage showing what they described as around 100 raccoons in the yard, with the resident saying that the situation had become out of control, and that the raccoons would “often surround her day and night, demanding food”.The woman said was quoted prices as high as $500 per raccoon to trap and relocate them.
