Hunt for thug after 14-year-old kicked, stomped on at train station

Police are on the hunt for a thug involved in two terrifying bashings at a Melbourne train station on Sunday.

The father of one victim, a 14-year-old male, said he was disgusted by the attack, which was caught on camera and posted to social media.

The footage shows his son being kicked to the head and stomped on by one man as a group watches on.

The incident happened at Ringwood station on Sunday around noon.

The victim has since identified who the main offender is.

In a bizarre twist, that man’s father has also taken to social media to express his feelings about the incident.

He said he was not proud of his son’s actions, is fuming about what is shown in the video, and that “karma will come” to his son.

Seven News understands the same attacker, believed to be an 18-year-old male, was also filmed bashing another underage child only an hour earlier.

That footage was also posted to social media.

Police were at Ringwood train station on Monday gathering evidence and say they are aware of both incidents.

The 14-year-old victim spent Monday in hospital with a suspected fractured jaw and bleeding to his ear.

No charges have been laid.
