Hunt for man after woman grabbed in public toilet

Police are searching for a man who tried to grab a young woman in a public toilet.

A 27-year-old woman was using a public toilet on The Kingsway in Wenworthville, in western Sydney, just before 4.30pm on July 29 when she was approached by a man.

The man committed an act of indecency and then attempted to grab the woman. He left the area and was last seen going towards Wentworthville train station.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command were alerted and were unable to locate the man following an extensive search of the area.

Detectives have launched an investigation and have released CCTV images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

NSW Police have described the man as being of “Caucasian appearance, aged in his 40s, about 170cm tall, with a large build, short grey hair and clean shaven”.

The images show the man wearing black pants, a dark grey jumper and black shoes.
